The internet does not need another article saying "quality matters". It needs pages that answer the question better than anything else on Google. That starts with research and your own knowledge, not a word count. I turn what you know into pages that rank and bring in buyers.
SEO content writing is writing web pages built to rank for specific searches and to be genuinely useful to the people searching. It starts with research into what people type and what already ranks. It uses keywords naturally, not as a formula. The best SEO copywriting reads like a knowledgeable person explaining something clearly, because that is what both readers and Google are looking for.
"Choosing the right roofing contractor is essential for homeowners. A quality roof protects your investment and provides peace of mind for years to come."
True, and useless. Any roofer anywhere could say this.
"In Phoenix, tile lasts decades, but the underlayment beneath it often fails after 20 years in the heat. If a roofer only offers to replace broken tiles, ask them to check what is underneath."
Specific and useful, and it shows real experience. It came from a conversation with the owner.
Example writing, for illustration.
Paste any text from your site. The sample is deliberately bad.
Runs in your browser. Nothing gets sent anywhere.
Flesch Reading Ease, an estimate from a standard formula. 60+ suits most business readers. Clarity helps people, and a score is only a guide.
Most businesses start with a blog. They would usually do better starting with service and cost pages.
| Type | Example search | Reader is | Why it matters |
|---|---|---|---|
| Service pages | "emergency plumber phoenix" | Ready to buy | Highest value, usually do first |
| Comparison pages | "shopify vs bigcommerce" | Deciding | Close to a sale |
| How-to guides | "how to fix a leaking tap" | Learning | Builds trust and earns links |
| Cost pages | "how much does a new roof cost" | Budgeting | Often overlooked, and very useful |
| Location pages | "roof repair in Tempe" | Local | Only with real local details |
What to write first, based on what your buyers search and what you can realistically win.
Search intent, questions to answer, what the top pages cover and what they miss.
A short call or a voice note from you. It adds the real details that no competitor or AI tool can copy.
Plain language and real examples, fact-checked. AI assists with research, but people make the calls.
Titles, headings, internal links and schema, added directly to your site if you like.
Pages that slip get refreshed. Often an update earns more than a new article would.
I look at what ranks for your search and read those pages properly. I note what they all say, because you will need that too, and what none of them say, because that is your opening.
Then I talk to you. Fifteen minutes on a call often gives me more than a week of research: the mistake your customers always make, the question they always ask, the thing the big sites get wrong.
The draft comes next, then editing, fact-checking and your approval. Only after that do titles, links and schema go on, and the page goes live.

Google has said that how content is made matters less than whether it helps people. But it also targets scaled content made mainly to rank, whatever the method. I have watched sites lose much of their traffic from low-value pages produced in bulk.
What I use AI for: research summaries, outlines, spotting gaps and checking drafts. What I do not use it for: your facts, your experience, your claims, or final copy with no human editing.
If an agency offers you 50 articles a month for a low price, ask who checks the facts. Then ask what happens to your whole site if Google decides those articles are thin.
Agree what to write, in order of likely business value.
Research the search, the winners and the gaps.
A short call or voice note to capture what you know.
A human draft, checked and fact-checked.
You sign off, and then it goes live with links and schema.
Check its performance and update it as needed.
Pages get indexed. They may appear for very specific searches right away.
Rankings climb for long-tail searches, and internal links start sending readers to your main pages.
Stronger positions, more leads, and links from people who find the page useful.
A good page can bring in visitors for years, unlike an ad, though it needs an occasional refresh.
A 3,000-word article that could have been 800 words simply loses readers.
Build the pages that sell first. Then write the ones that attract.
Old pages slip. A refresh is often the cheapest win in content.
New pages need links from your other pages, or Google may not value them.
