For local businesses whose work is better than their reviews suggest

Google review management, with only real reviews.

Customers compare your stars before they ever see your website. You may do better work than the company above you, but if they have 300 reviews and you have 11, the phone rings for them. The fix is not complicated: ask every customer, every time, and answer what they write.

  • What: a system to ask, reply and track, using real customers only.
  • Effect: more calls from the same rankings, and it helps local rankings too.
  • Never: fake, paid or incentivized reviews. They risk your profile, and in the US they risk FTC action.
  • Cost: included in monthly plans from $799.

In one paragraph

What is review management?

Review management is the steady work of getting honest reviews from real customers, replying to them, and handling the bad ones well. Google says that high-quality, positive reviews can improve your local ranking, and buyers use them to decide. A review system turns something most businesses do once in a while into something that happens after every job.

Assumes every new review is 5 stars, so real life takes a little longer. Google rounds ratings in its own way.

Why most businesses have too few reviews

Happy customers rarely think of it themselves.

Unhappy customers are motivated. Happy ones go on with their day. So if you do not ask, your reviews tend to drift toward your worst moments.

Most owners ask when they remember, which means rarely. The businesses with hundreds of reviews are not always better. They just made asking automatic years ago.

Fresh reviews matter too. A profile whose last review is from eight months ago makes a buyer wonder if you are still open.

Google review management service, included

A simple system that runs every week.

One-tap review links

A short link and QR code that open your review box directly, so customers do not need to search for you.

Well-timed requests

A text or email soon after the job is done, sent to every real customer, with one reminder.

Replies to every review

Short, human replies, in your voice, including the three-star ones most people ignore.

Bad review plan

What to say, what never to say, and when a review is worth reporting to Google.

Monthly tracking

New reviews, rating and pace compared with your top competitors.

Team script

What your staff can say at the end of a job, because in-person asks work well.

How to reply

The reply is for the next customer.

People read how you handle complaints. A good reply to a bad review can win more trust than another 5-star review.

ReviewBad replyBetter reply
5 stars, "great job on our roof""Thanks!""Thanks, Maria. That was a tricky valley repair, and we're glad it's holding up."
1 star, "nobody called me back""This is not true. We have no record of you.""I'm sorry we missed you. That's not how we want to work. Please call me directly on my number so I can fix this."
1 star, fake, you have no recordAn angry public argument"We can't find a record of this job. Please contact us with details." Then report it to Google.
3 stars, "OK but expensive"Silence"Thanks for the honest feedback. We're happy to go through the quote with you any time."

Examples, for illustration. Lawyers, doctors and others with confidentiality duties need more careful replies: never confirm someone is a client or patient.

How it works

Set up once. Then it runs.

  1. Check your standing

Your reviews against the top 3 near you, and what customers actually complain about.

  2. Build the links

A direct review link, QR code and message templates.

  3. Connect to your workflow

Text, email or your CRM, whatever your team really uses.

  4. Train the team

A simple line for staff to say at the right moment.

  5. Reply and report

Replies each week, with a monthly comparison against competitors.

The effect

What more reviews change, and when.

Weeks 1 to 4

New reviews start coming in. Often the first ones come from recent customers who were simply never asked.

Months 2 to 3

Your count and freshness improve. More people who see you on the map choose you.

Months 3 to 6

Your position on Maps tends to improve, especially near your location, along with the rest of your local work.

Long term

Reviews build up in a way that is hard for newcomers to match.

Why, and why not

Who needs review help, and who does not.

You need this if

  • Competitors have far more reviews than you.
  • Your last review is months old.
  • You have bad reviews with no reply.
  • Customers tell you they are happy, but they do not post.

You do not need this if

  • Your service really is causing complaints. Fix that first, since more reviews will expose it.
  • You sell only to a few big accounts who never check Google.
  • You want fake reviews. I do not do that, and you should not either.
  • You already have a working system and strong numbers. Keep going.
The rules that matter

Shortcuts that can cost you your whole profile.

Buying reviews

Google removes them and can restrict your profile. The FTC's 2024 rule also bans fake reviews, with real penalties.

Offering discounts for reviews

Google's policy does not allow incentives, even small ones.

Asking only happy customers

Often called review gating. Google discourages it, so ask everyone.

Having staff review the business

Reviews from employees or owners count as a conflict of interest.

Paying someone to delete reviews

Only Google removes reviews. Removal sellers often use risky tricks.

Arguing in public

Future customers read those replies. Stay calm and take it offline.

Real results

What steady reviews helped produce.

Questions people ask

Google reviews FAQ.

What is Google review management?
It is the ongoing work of asking customers for reviews, replying to them, handling bad ones and tracking how you compare with competitors. Software can help, but what matters is that it happens every week.
Can you remove bad Google reviews?
Only if a review breaks Google's policies, such as spam, a fake customer or a conflict of interest. You can report those. A real customer's honest bad review stays, and anyone promising to remove reviews for a fee is a risk. A calm reply and newer good reviews are your best tools.
Is it OK to offer a discount for a review?
No. Google does not allow incentives, and in the US the FTC has rules against fake and incentivized reviews. Ask every customer, make it easy, and offer nothing in return.
Can I ask only happy customers?
Google discourages selectively asking for positive reviews, and it can create legal risk too. I set up requests for all real customers, sent when the job has just gone well. Timing does most of the work.
How many reviews do I need?
Compare yourself with the businesses above you on the map, then work on a steady pace. The calculator on this page shows how long it takes to catch up.
Do reviews help rankings or only trust?
Both. Google says reviews and your rating can help your local ranking, and customers read them before they call. In many categories, reviews are one of the few things that can quickly change a buyer's mind.
